Analytics and cookies

## Who is responsible

This site is run by me, Tran Manh Tuan, and I am responsible for the data described on this page.

## What is measured, and only with your consent

If you accept analytics, Google Analytics 4 records which pages you view, how you arrived (for example from a search engine or a link), your device and browser type, and your approximate location, meaning the country or city derived from your IP address; Google Analytics does not store the IP address itself. The purpose is to learn which pages are useful.

Google Analytics then sets first-party cookies (\_ga, and \_ga\_ followed by an ID) to recognise a returning browser. Advertising storage, advertising user data and ad personalisation are always off.

Until you accept, Google Analytics is not loaded and nothing is sent to Google.

## Your choice

Your choice is saved in this browser's local storage, so the question is not asked again. You can change it at any time with the “Analytics settings” button at the bottom right of every page, or reset it by clearing this site's data in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops the measurement from that moment on.

## Hosting

The site is served by Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data about each request, such as the IP address and browser type, to deliver and protect the pages. Cloudflare Web Analytics adds statistics on traffic and page speed; according to Cloudflare, it uses no cookies or local storage and does not fingerprint visitors.

## Your rights

The site has no database or backend, so nothing about you is stored on my side. The analytics data sits in Google Analytics under a random ID from the \_ga cookie, not under your name or email address, so I cannot tell which records are yours.

To stop the measurement, withdraw your consent with the “Analytics settings” button. To cut the link between this browser and earlier data, delete this site's cookies or data in your browser. Google Analytics is set to keep detailed data for 2 months, and the random ID until 2 months after your last visit; after that, it is deleted automatically.

If you want the data from earlier visits deleted, send the value of your \_ga cookie to [tmtuan801@gmail.com](mailto:tmtuan801@gmail.com), and I will remove it with Google Analytics' user deletion tool. Questions are welcome at the same address.
